AHAA provides families with legal status to operate a Home School under Section 59-65-47 of South Carolina’s Education laws. Christian Homeschoolers’ Association of South Carolina
CHASC is a Christian Association. No Statement of Faith or religious information is required of our members. However, our board members are Christians. Our members are from all counties within South Carolina. Because section 59-65-47 does not require standardized testing, nor establish a set length for the school day, members are free to choose what is best for their family.

Marion – Grace is a legal, alternate source of approval for home schooling parents. Established in 1990 as an organization to coordinate and establish academic standards and to provide support services for home schools and private schools.
Greenwood Christian School Home Educators Association

Low Country Educators’ Association of Homeschools, LLC
LEAH is a full-service 3rd Option Home School Association for the state of South Carolina. We are committed to supporting and encouraging parents, regardless of religious affiliation or ethnic background, who have decided to school their children at home. We believe that it is the fundamental right of a parent to make decisions regarding the welfare of his or her children, including their choice of education.

It is not affiliated with the Diocese of Charleston an any way and consequently acts independently of the Diocese. The Diocese is aware of our existence but does not govern OLPH in any way.

PACESC is a “Third Option” reporting agency in accordance with South Carolina Law Section 59-65-47. Our goal is to provide a legal alternative for parents to home school at an affordable price.

SAFE in Herald5
Members of HERALD5 have the option of also joining SAFE in HERALD5 — a “third option” supervisory accountability association in accordance to S.C. statute 59-65-47. SAFE legalizes your homeschooling in S.C. SAFE provides documentation for driver’s licenses, dual enrollment, and high school transcripts for those needing those services.

Vine and Branches Home Educators
VBHE is a Christian organization, though we welcome and encourage families of all faiths to join. As a service to Horry and Georgetown Counties, VBHE offers 3rd option legal accountability required by the South Carolina Law 59-65-47.
Westgate Christian Home Education Association
You can fulfill all South Carolina State Requirements for home schooling as a member of WCHEA. We are also planning to integrate home educators into our spiritual emphasis (school camp, chapel, etc.), field trips, and elective classes.

Carolina Homeschooler Groups Trips and Events
We coordinate group trips and events for homeschooling families in South Carolina and beyond. We’ve enjoyed trips to Washington DC, New York City, Disney World, Italy, and Alaska, as well as field trips, sleepovers, and camps at historic sites, flight schools, space centers, ships, museums, state parks, aquariums, mountains, and beaches. Most of our trips are open to everyone.
