Come learn with us at the Marine Science Institute!
Afternoon Ecology is an “afterschool” educational program designed to foster the natural curiosity of young minds. This program is designed for student ages 6-10.
Students will learn about the tools that marine scientists use in the field to gather information and conduct surveys. As junior scientists, they will gain confidence in using scientific equipment as they catch animals, take data, care for animals in our aquarium, and dissect a squid. Students will be using teamwork to cooperate in small groups, and record their favorite animals and fascinating facts in their log books each week.
Classes run Mondays April 1-May 6th from 3:30pm-5:30pm at our facility in Redwood City.
Cost is $130/student. Registration can be found here.
