Why are cultural traditions important and how do they past along to the next generation? Explore the rich history of the Piscataway people living in the Frederick County area from pre-European contact to the present. Students will examine lifeways, trade and oral traditions in conjunction with hands-on artifacts and discover why the Piscataway call themselves Peyakohewamak (One Family). (Recommended for grades 3rd-5th)
