Classical Christian Education: A Look at Some History

What is a Classical Education?
The early years of school are spent in absorbing facts, systematically laying the foundations for advanced study. In the middle grades, students learn to think through arguments. In the high school years, they learn to express themselves. This classical pattern is called the trivium. By Susan Wise Bauer.
Why Classical Education?

Ages and Stages: The Trivium
Grades 1-6. The subject of Grammar is the heart of the grammar stage curriculum, and throughout most of the history of classical education, meant Latin and Greek grammar.
Grades 7-9. The subject of Logic is the heart of the dialectic stage curriculum.
Grades 10-12. Originally, rhetoric was credited with the power to create and maintain civilized society.
A Comparison of Different Methods and Approaches to Homeschooling
