Science is inherently interactive, but sometimes it is not taught that way. There are a lot of vocabulary and complex concepts, so traditional teaching methods often usurp the bulk of science time. The hands-on parts are then relegated to science labs, which are often followed by long and tedious lab reports. Enter kid science games! Science, by nature, is exciting and built on curiosity. If your science lessons have become stale, or you just want to spice up your science learning, try a little gameschooling! See below for some ideas and resources….

What is Gameschooling for Science?

The Gameschooling Homeschool Method can be used for science by adding interactive board games and Internet games, and even field games, to your homeschooling day. Science games can be used to reinforce tricky concepts, practice skills, or dive deeper into topics of interest, and can supplement science curriculum or even replace it. Combining curiosity and fun, science games can become the highlights of homeschooling days!
