Colorado Homeschool Cover Schools & Resource Centers help support families who would like a more social setting for learning.

Charter Schools

Platte River Classical Academy
PRA Classical Academy is a free, part-time charter school program designed to meet the needs of home-schooled students in grades 5 -8. A classical, university style approach is used with an emphasis on science, humanities, mechanics of writing and math. ​Students throughout the Denver metro area are welcome to participate in this program.

Cover Schools

Alpine Valley School
The structure of Alpine Valley School is patterned after the Sudbury Valley School in Massachusetts.

West River Academy
Caters to unschoolers. Based in Grand Junction, CO, this program also accepts Japanese “school refusers” to come and learn English with the family owners. Evaluations to meet CO law. Workshops and consultations for newcomers to homeschooling. Contact for anyone needing assistance in our area.

eDCSD combines rigorous curriculum, well qualified teachers, and the best in Web 2.0 technologies – all with the convenience of online accessibility to create a learning experience that is truly one of a kind. Enroll early! Places fill fast.

Hope Online Learning Academy
Comprised of approximately 30 Learning Centers, HOPE has Learning Centers across Colorado from Denver to Pueblo, Greeley and Leadville. HOPE offers a blended learning model. Students access their online curriculum at Learning Centers hosted by community-based organizations with a commitment to educating children.

Resource Centers

Woodrow Wilson Academy
We are a free home school enrichment program in Westminster for home-school students in grades 1-6. Classes include Spanish, Art, Music, Performing Arts, Creative Writing, and Hands-on Science. Classes meet every Tuesday beginning in September.
