One of the benefits of homeschooling is the freedom and ability to take many field trips and provide real-world experiences for your homeschoolers. Whether it is a visit to a museum, science center, or even a trip to a local post office or fire department, there is something out there to help make the learning fun. Every state has its unique locations that would be fun to visit. We have gathered a list of great places to visit in Delaware with kids. Find your next homeschool field trip below!

Biggs Museum of American Art

Johnson Victrola Museum

This museum is a tribute to Delaware’s native son – Eldridge Reeves Johnson, who founded the Victor Talking Machine Company in 1901. Located at the corner of Bank and New Streets in Dover.

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library

A visit to Winterthur allows your students to explore nature, history, and art all at the same place. Come wander among our gardens, visit our library, take a tour of our house, and investigate our changing exhibitions. Learn about early American culture, country house life, and so much more! Brandywine Zoo

“The Brandywine Zoo is located in Wilmington, Delaware, along the Brandywine River in beautiful Brandywine Park. The Zoo is open 10am to 4pm (last admission at 3:30pm). Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge
